I offer online lessons (typically via Zoom) for students who live too far away to come to my studio in person. I may also give my in-person students online lessons if I have to go out of town or am sick, but am still available during their lesson time. Whether lessons are in person or online, tuition will stay the same.
If students plan to take lessons online for an extended period of time, I highly recommend investing in a microphone to improve sound quality. There are many reasonably priced USB microphones that are compatible with Zoom. For young students, parents will need to be present consistently to assist in helping their children stay focused, and marking notes in their music and notebooks.
